TicketCo is strengthening its partnership with Fleetwood Town, becoming the club’s Official Academy Partner ahead of the opening home fixture of the 2026/27 League Two season. Fleetwood Town welcome Gillingham to Highbury Stadium this Saturday, 22 August.

Since partnering with Fleetwood Town, TicketCo has powered the club's season-ticket, matchday and hospitality sales, giving supporters and staff a first-hand experience of the platform in action.

A system built for how fans buy today

TicketCo has helped us make the ticket-buying process simpler for our supporters. The system is easy to use across both online and mobile platforms, while also giving our team the flexibility to assist fans quickly and remotely when they need additional support. We are continually looking for ways to improve the supporter journey, and TicketCo has become an important part of helping us deliver that," said Steve Metcalf, Ticketing Manager at Fleetwood Town.

Hospitality, streamlined

"We have also successfully introduced TicketCo across our hospitality offering. The platform’s features have helped us streamline the booking process, make purchasing easier for guests and collect more accurate customer and booking data. This gives us a clearer understanding of our audiences, reduces administration for the team and allows us to deliver a more efficient and personalised hospitality experience," added Sam Heaney, Commercial Manager at Fleetwood Town.

Backing the pathway

Fleetwood Town is one of only two League Two clubs to hold Category Two Academy status, the second-highest classification under the Elite Player Performance Plan. Based at the state-of-the-art Poolfoot Farm training complex, the Academy develops players from Under-9s through to Under-21s, recruiting talent from across Fleetwood, the Fylde Coast and the wider North West.

What the Academy Partnership means

As Fleetwood Town’s Official Ticketing Partner, TicketCo already has a prominent brand presence across Highbury Stadium and Poolfoot Farm. That presence will now extend further into the Academy. Throughout the 2026/27 season, the TicketCo brand will feature on the back of the Under-18s’ and Under-21s’ playing shorts. TicketCo will also sponsor the club’s end-of-season awards, including the Young Player of the Year award.

"This partnership has felt right from the very first conversation. Fleetwood Town is a club that welcomes change rather than standing still, and this season we are seeing exactly what that openness makes possible, from season tickets and matchday sales to hospitality.

Sponsoring an Academy might look like an unusual move for a ticketing company. We do not see it that way. The Academy is where this club’s future is being built, and TicketCo exists for the same reason, to back the people and ideas that will shape what comes next,"
said Clare Kenny, Chief Commercial Officer and Board Member at TicketCo.

TicketCo will be at Highbury Stadium this Saturday, with a content team on hand throughout the day, determined to ensure that Fleetwood Town supporters notice from day one that there is a new ticketing partner in town.
