Lesson 4 of 10 | Mastering Crowd Density Management
Expert-led sessions on ticketing, fan engagement, and event revenue, built for the people running it. Live webinars and on-demand content, straight from the industry.
As Director of Safety and Guest Relations at the Roskilde Festival Group, and through the festival's commercial enterprise RFX, Morten has taken his expertise to some of the highest stakes events in the world, including UEFA Champions League and Europa League finals, the Eurovision Song Contest, World Pride, and Formula 1 at Silverstone. In this session, he covers crowd density management in the truest sense: how people arrive, how they move, how pressure builds before it becomes a problem, and how the right resources outside a venue prevent incidents inside it.
What you'll learn
- How arrival profiles shape risk before a single person has entered the venue
- What crowd psychology reveals about what happens when space runs out
- How the right resources outside a stadium prevent problems that are far harder to solve once people are inside
- How AI is increasingly used for people counting and real time crowd monitoring, and what that means for safety going forward
